La Baia Marina originariamente era un’insenatura del mare ma successivamente fu chiusa con una diga rendendola un bacino di acqua dolce. E’ il cuore della città, i primi insediamenti furono edificati qui per sfruttare lo specchio d’acqua come risorsa naturale e come mezzo di trasporto indispensabile per il commercio. Da allora Singapore si è espansa ma ha mantenuto questa zona come la più curata e vitale.
