L’Isola Sentosa misura 5 chilometri quadrati e si trova a solo mezzo chilometro dalla costa su cui sorge il centro città di Singapore. Il suo nome in malese significa “pace e tranquillità” e, forse per mantenere fede alle sue origini, è stata trasformata in una “isola resort”. Qui infatti sono numerosi hotel e le attrazioni turistiche. Nonostante ciò è stato mantenuto intatta gran parte della foresta pluviale che ospita numerose specie di animali.
