La sede del Municipio di Lione è uno dei più imponenti palazzi storici cittadini. Fu costruito fra il 1645 ed il 1651 e successivamente restaurato dopo un incendio che lo danneggiò gravemente nel 1674. In facciata , sotto al grande orologio vi è una statua equestre raffigurante Enrico IV qui posta nel 1800 in sostituzione di quella presente in precedenza dedicata a Luigi XIV , andata distrutta durante i moti della Rivoluzione Francese.
