Inaugurato nel 1828 il ponte Heuston. E’ una costruzione in ferro sorretto da due pilastri di granito creata da George Papworth che ha disegnato anche diversi edifici a Dublino. Praticamente inutilizzato dopo l’apertura di un nuovo ponte accanto ad esso, ora è dedicato al traffico della Light Rail. Originariamente fu chiamato Ponte Re George IV. Successivamente il nome fu cambiato in Sean Heuston, uno dei capi della rivoluzione della Pasqua 1916 poi tutti giustiziati.
