La struttura che ospita l’hotel fu costruita nel 1842 ed era la dimora di Antonis Dimitriou, famoso e ricco uomo d’affari. Nel 1874 fu acquistata da Efstathios Lampsas, la cui famiglia è tutt’ora la proprietaria, che la ristrutturò ed ampliò mantenendo lo stile dell’edificio originale. Durante le guerre l’Hotel fu utilizzato come base militare e dopo un’ulteriore ristrutturazione nel 2003 tornò ad essere un hotel di lusso.
