il museo ospita i reperti ritrovati a Saruq Al-Hadid, sito archeologico scoperto per caso dallo sceicco Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum mentre sorvolava la città con il suo elicottero. Qui sono stati rinvenuti ceramiche e manufatti in metallo risalenti al 2600 a.C. Tra i vari reperti spicca un anello in oro sapientemente decorato che è diventato il simbolo delle Olimpiadi 2020 che si svolgeranno a Dubai.
